More Info
Kookaburra Park Eco-Village is Queensland’s largest environmentally designed living space with 124 freehold building lots and 360 acres of parkland.
It was created to satisfy the needs of people who care about our planet, the eco system, and our place in it. The lots were hand picked by internationally renowned permaculture designer, Max Lindegger to give a building site with privacy, minimum water flow and a north facing building area.
Each building lot is individually owned with freehold title, as well as 360 acres of parkland owned in common by all lot holders.
In keeping with life preservation standards cats and dogs are not allowed as the bushland is home to abundant bird and other wildlife including kangaroos, which have increased dramatically in number and variety since the first stage was developed in the 1990’s. It is also used as a wildlife release sanctuary. The flora has also diversified and previously barren areas are now productive.
Over 100 people live at Kookaburra Park and ages range from new-born to 85 years. Roads are sealed and telephone, power and garden water are all underground.
THE FINAL STAGE HAS NOW BEEN COMPLETED and these last new lots give you the opportunity to live sustainably at the Kookaburra Park Eco-Village or invest in the future of sustainable settlement.
